Chaya
Terms of Use
Effective date: 8 October 2026
Welcome to Chaya. These Terms govern your use of the Chaya mobile app and related services (the "Service"). The Service is provided by AYSANTE LLC, a company organised under the laws of the State of Florida, located at 7901 4th St N, Ste 27289, St. Petersburg, FL 33702, USA ("Chaya", "we", "us"). By creating an account, you accept these Terms.
1.1 What Chaya is
Chaya is a friendship app designed for students in Europe to meet, play games and get together in a Turkish-speaking community. Chaya is not a dating app. There is no requirement of any particular nationality, ethnic origin or religion to use the app.
1.2 Who can use Chaya
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must be legally able to accept these Terms.
- You must not have been permanently banned by Chaya before.
- You may have only one account; you may not transfer or share your account.
1.3 Your account and verification
- You must use your real name, real photos and accurate university information on your profile.
- The "Verified student" badge shows that your account has been approved. Your account is approved after our team reviews the student certificate, letter of admission or ID card you upload; documents are deleted as soon as the review is complete. The badge does not guarantee a person's identity, background or trustworthiness.
- You are responsible for keeping your password and account secure. If you notice any unauthorised activity on your account, write to info@aysante.com immediately.
1.4 Community Guidelines
When using Chaya, you agree to follow the Community Guidelines. The Guidelines are part of these Terms. In particular, the following are prohibited:
- Harassment, threats, hate speech, discrimination or bullying
- Impersonating someone else or creating a fake profile
- Sending sexual content without consent
- Sharing other people's personal information, chats or screenshots without permission
- Fraud, requests for money or investments, commercial advertising and spam
- Bots, scraping, reverse engineering or cheating in games
- Creating a new account after being banned
1.5 Your content
The photos, texts and messages you upload belong to you. So that we can operate the Service, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-transferable licence to store, display, reproduce and technically adapt this content. This licence is only for providing and improving the Service and ends when you delete your content or close your account. Messages you have shared with other users may remain in their accounts. Non-permanent matches and the chats within them are automatically deleted after 24 hours.
We will not use your profile photo or content in advertising or promotional materials without your explicit permission.
1.6 Location features
The map feature shows your approximate location to your friends only at neighbourhood level; your exact address is never shown. You can hide your location at any time by turning on ghost mode; your stored location is then deleted. Discover and the map do not use locations older than 24 hours. You can also turn off location permission in your device settings; map-related features will then not work.
1.7 Games and Çay
The games on Chaya (backgammon, billiards and games added in the future) are for fun and for getting to know each other. Çay (Turkish for "tea") is an in-app allowance that renews every day and is used to add friends and organise events: it cannot be bought with money, cannot be converted into money, cannot be sold between users and has no real-world value. Details are in the Çay Rules.
1.8 Meeting in real life
Chaya does not run background checks or criminal record checks on users. You are responsible for deciding to meet someone and for your conduct during a meet-up. We recommend reading the Safety Tips before meeting. If a user makes you feel uncomfortable, report them in the app; in an emergency, call 112. Events are organised by users; Chaya is not the organiser of events and does not control the venue, content or participants of an event. The person organising an event is responsible for ensuring that it complies with the law and the Community Guidelines.
1.9 Reporting, moderation and appeals
- You can report or block a user from any profile, chat or game.
- You can also report illegal content by writing to info@aysante.com or through the in-app reporting flow. We review reports without undue delay and with care, and inform the reporter of the outcome.
- We may remove content that violates these Terms or the Community Guidelines, temporarily restrict an account or permanently close it. When we do, we will inform you of the reasons for our decision (Article 17 DSA).
- You may appeal a decision within 6 months of being notified by writing to info@aysante.com. Your appeal will be reviewed by a human. Your right to turn to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body or to a court remains unaffected.
1.10 Closing your account
You can close your account at any time via Settings > Delete account. Deleting the app from your phone does not close your account. When your account is closed, your profile, photos, chats, friendships, Çay balance and game history are deleted immediately. Your data is deleted within the periods set out in the Privacy Policy.
1.11 Intellectual property
The Chaya name, logo, design and software belong to us. We grant you a limited, non-transferable and revocable right to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes only. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, used under the ODbL licence.
1.12 Changes to the Service
We may change or remove features to improve the Service. We cannot guarantee that the Service will always be available without interruption.
1.13 Liability
- Our liability is unlimited for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, and in cases where liability cannot be limited by law.
- In cases of slight negligence, we are liable only for breaches of essential contractual obligations, and only up to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract.
- We are not liable for what other users do inside or outside the app, unless we are at fault ourselves.
1.14 Changes to these Terms
If we change these Terms, we will notify you in the app or by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect. If you do not agree, you can close your account.
1.15 Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. However, if you live in an EU country, the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence continue to apply to you, and you may bring a claim before the courts of your country of residence. There is no arbitration clause or class action waiver for users living in the EU. We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
1.16 Contact and EU representative
- General contact and DSA point of contact: info@aysante.com (Turkish, English, German)
- EU legal representative (Article 13 DSA): Tolga Kaya (info@aysante.com, +49 151 72147326)
- Company: AYSANTE LLC, 7901 4th St N, Ste 27289, St. Petersburg, FL 33702
1.17 Miscellaneous
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain valid. If there is any difference between the Turkish version of these Terms and a version in another language, the version more favourable to you applies.
